Our brewing heritage is creating innovative beer as Hodgson and Drane did for the East India Englishmen. Drane Brothers works collaboratively with other partners to develop local, unique, and proprietary beers. Leveraging small batch scale processes and methods, our collaborations allow for near limitless product development and experimental brewing.
We currently use a femto*-size (1/2 barrel) hybrid electric-gas 3 kettle system with a HERMS recirculator. Our brew plant is located in a custom built 16’x20’ detached raised ceiling building on a concrete slab with a wet floor. A 100 amp service powers the 5500 watt HLT and the boil kettle is heated with a 135k btu propane direct fire burner. We use the latest Blichmann Engineering kettles, chillers, and accessories, including two 14.7 gal conical fermenters.
Our process development includes locally sourced ingredients and new brewing methods to create unique and proprietary beers. Using our own estate grown hops, we produce the only local fresh hop ale using estate hops.

*What is a femto-brewery? This is a term coined by North Williston Brewing to define the home brewer who hits the 200 gallon mark annually. Drane Brothers Brewery is a femto-brewery and is not a licensed brewery. All beer produced by Drane Brothers Brewery is for personal consumption of the brewer.
